Vaccinations: A Homeopathic Perspective
Abstract: This article will look at the possibility of homeopathic nosodes, which serve in the same fashion as vaccines but have a much
different mode of action.
With all the new forms of disease these days, vaccines and mass vaccination have become very popular. However, with many documented side
effects and questionable consequences, many people are beginning to wonder just how safe and effective they really are. For the last 200
years Homeopathic Nosodes have been used as an alternative to vaccinations and have been found quite effective. Due to a lack of funding
and subsequently documented, independent research, the efficacy of these methods are still up for debate and haven't been accepted by many
mainstream medical professionals. Nosodes are very similar to vaccines in that the virus, bacteria or substance is collected and processed in a
laboratory in much the same way that vaccines are. When making nosodes the raw product is then put through a very complicated series of
dilutions and succussions to potentize it or to make it homeopathically active. The dilution process is conducted by reducing the raw
product (1 part virus, bacteria, or substance to 99 parts water or alcohol for a C potency or a10 to one for an X potency) It is then succussed
by a special machine, or by pounding the mixture into a leather bound book, or on the palm of your hand. Each time this process is repeated
the liquid becomes one potency higher. In other words, one repetition of this process would be 1c or x, Twice is 2c or 2x and so on. This is
repeated over and over again until the desired potency is reached. Examples of common potencies include 6c, 30c, 200c, and 1M. The
potency basically determines how long lasting or at what level the remedy acts. Once the 12th dilution is reached (12c) there is no physical
trace of the raw material left in the product. This is important since some may be allergic or sensitive to certain materials. The remedy will still
work without the physical substance present because a mirror image or reflection of the product has been created medicinally.
Homeopathy works on the principle "let likes be cured by likes" which was the motto of the founder of Homeopathy, Dr. Samuel
Hahnemann. Homeopathic practitioners strive to match a disease or its symptoms to a remedy that when ingested by a healthy individual will
cause the same symptom picture based on the above mentioned principle. This consequently strengthens the person or animal's defense
mechanism by helping the body on a cellular level to recognize what the disease potentially could look like when it is introduced into the body.
Instead of giving a vaccine into the muscle (which ultimately filters into the blood stream in some way, shape or form and creates some kind of
anaphylaxis type reaction), Nosodes are administered in an oral method which allows the mucosal membrane surfaces to recognize the
intruding bacteria/virus and to do something about it in a state which is much more natural. The logic for this view point is that most diseases
do not enter the body through an injection, and so it seems more logical that the body responds somewhat differently to the stimulus given
orally than stimulus given through injection or vaccine. Some effort is currently being put into studying this, and we are now seeing that some
pharmaceuticals are interested in adding GMOs (genetically modified organisms) that contain vaccines into the foods we eat. This is a method
of getting vaccinations through oral ingestion, which is an actual route of transmission. The dilemma with this, is that the long range use of
GMOs in food has not been properly researched, and is considered by many to be unsafe as well as unethical. Nosodes however are prepared
from natural substances and are not modified genetically in anyway. The nosodes are not only used with success on humans, but can also be
put through watering systems for livestock. At the current rate with which we are medicating the world's food supply, this may be a very
necessary alternative in the not so distant future.
A well researched and documented publication entitled "Homoeoprophylaxis: A Ten Year Clinical Study" written by Dr. Isaac Golden
illustrates a 10 year experiment that was carried out on children in Australia in relation to using homeopathy to prevent childhood diseases
such as measles, mumps, tetanus, polio, and diphtheria without the use of conventional vaccines. The children were given nosodes once a
month for the first 5 years of their life. The result of this was that many of these children had no health problems that lasted beyond a 24 hour
period. The children were all in excellent health, with a minimum amount of side effects. This study was carried out from 1988 to 1997 with
the hope of offering a low cost alternative to the public, where there would be no loser except for multinational pharmaceutical companies who
would lose out on sales revenues as a result. Due to a lack of funding and support the project was not completed to the author's beginning
intention. Overall, homeopathy has not had the kind of support that conventional western medicine has enjoyed over the years. Basically what
has happened is that when confronted with a fork in the road, the medical community has always chosen the side of the Pasteurean Theory.
This mentality says that we have to kill the bug at any cost. A homeopathic view recognizes that the bug is only there because the biological
terrain of the body has shifted to allow this bug to exist.
In summary, in a western society such as ours, there will always be room for conventional vaccinations. This is because many of the people in
our society have not been willing to accept responsibility for their own health or to take appropriate steps, instead leaving their health up to big
brother. As long as this continues, inoculation of the masses will continue to be widespread. Nosodes however, will continue to become a
more popular avenue for preventing disease, especially for people who are independent thinkers. If the public is presented with facts on both
sides of the fence it is quite possible that many can, and will, decide for themselves. Many poor countries do not have the money for many of
the expensive hospitals or expensive pharmaceuticals or costly vaccines and as a result are exploring and using herbs and homeopathy as
some or a large portion of their treatment for their population.
